That video was amazing. Really reminds me why EB is the only guitar company that matters. I really believe that the silo and the special are the pinnacle of electric guitar design. All the best of the classics, and all the best forward thinking design elements. And that playing was an amazing way to show off an amazing guitar.

I just found out about the Boston event this saturday and it's my wife's birthday, I'm wracking my brain trying to come up with some way to get there and I just don't think I can get out of prior plans. First I missed the DuBaldo event this summer because I had to take our new dog to the vet, and now this.

Hey Shane, thanks!!! I agree; I love both the sil and sil special. The clinic was great! It was a blast and I met both BP and John Petrucci for the first time. They were both great great guys and did an amazing job:)

Wow makes me proud to own a Silo!!! I just wish now I could utilize mine the way you do. Truly amazing tapping and your emotion with the bends is awesome. My only qualm with my Silo is that its a hardtail so I cant do cool whammy bar doodles too!!!

Maybe next video you can show us some of that 2 handed tapping techinque so I can start practicing it!!!

Wow Don, do you commute from Maine every day??

Glenn |B)

Hey Glen, yes I do. It's not bad though. Without traffic it's about an hour and 5 minutes. I have my schedule arranged so that I don't have to be in until 11:00 on Thursday/Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays I teach privately. There's rarely any serious traffic then so it's pretty easy:)

Wow you sound like a busy man but being a teacher at one of the worlds most renowned music schools I bet you would be. If I had 1/10 of the knowledge of the guitar as you do I would be a better player!

Yeah it can be pretty hectic at times but I always have some down time to look forward to as well. I'll be off from Berklee for a few weeks really soon so that will be nice. I want to get some new material written:)

Yeah cant wait to hear it. I work at a guitar store so on my slow time at work I pick up the guitar and polish the skills. Plus we are an EBMM dealer so got nice guitars to test drive! Definitely worse ways to make a living.

I really enjoyed the video - great playing, melodies and technique.
It is always great to see someone who can play like a monster have such a nice laid back attitude...
Don - if you read this where can someone order your dvd from - I am not much into tapping but would love to watch it anyhow.

Thanks Nick! My DVD can be ordered through www.myspace.com/donlappin. I have an account set up with paypal. It's two full DVDs and data disc/backing tracks. I believe the total running time is 3 hrs and 21 minutes. It's actually just as much about fretboard organization as it is about the technique so there is a TON of info in it:)

Also, I am now working on the next MusicMan video featuring my silhouettes. I'll be including some clips from a recent Berklee clinic (on my two-hand system)as well as some more live footage from a recent concert. I am still working on the overall concept of the video (a lot of playing throughout) and I have some more footage to shoot but it will be fun and entertaining to watch, I promise:D

Awesome, just awesome !
High precision technique with a blasting feeling that took my heart away :D
And since I'm a JP fan, as soon as the melodies are in the progressive way, I drool
I'll watch for more videos !

Your new Dvd sounds like its gonna be a good guitar video for sure. I need something to get me out of my recent slump so maybe this is it.
