Oh my .. wow!!
It's not possible to get these if you're located in the EU though, is it? :(

Of course you can. You can purchase and ship to a contact within the US so they can forward it to you, or you can also use myUS.com. Great service for occasions like this.

Don't know anyone in US that well that I want to purchase something this expensive to ship to them :) myUS sounds awesome though...! But I assume that Music Man has these restrictions on sales across the continents for a reason though? :)

The reason why you cannot directly buy an EBMM instrument from the US is because there are EBMM vendors in the other continents. Remaining options for non-US customers are being in a US store in person and buy the desired item, or pay the store via wire transfer/credit card etc. and either ship it to a friend/family member in the US for them to forward it to you or use MyUS. MyUS resolves any issue in essence. You can now purchase anything you like for the US price and not the enormous corresponding EU price.

But doesn't that void the warranty?

It doesn't void it, but it means you'd have to ship it back to the USA (and home again) at your own expense for any warranty claims.

Buying from vendors in EU is not a problem, were it not for these "store-specific" runs where this guitar simply isn't available in EU at all. Will definitely check out MyUS and think about if the warranty "issue" (having to ship it to US and back) is a big of enough issue for me.

Keep in mind the custom fees as well. That's another necessary evil. Should everything go alright you will hopefully not need the warranty.

EU final price = US price + shipping + custom fees for importation. You save the EU vendor's profit in essence. MyUS has great shipping rates. However, were you able to purchase from a US dealer that holds a Fedex (for example) business account you could have a package of 10kg shipped for approximately 250USDollars, instead of 800USD. If not, MyUS is by far your best alternative.
