Just to make sure that you kids hear it first here...
Both John's from DT took advantage of a rare day off in LA and made the trek to the factory in SLO...that is pretty cool as it entailed 8 hours of driving both ways. Mr. Myung had never been there and JP loves to visit the troops and get some Firestone Grill Tri Tip.

Anyways I was unable to be there so JP called me and we chatted about stuff mostly about how much he loves his guitar. He paid us the ultimate compliment because he said in interviews lately they have been asking him about his career highlights and he said one of the very top ones was getting aligned with us. Wow. Its a love fest.

we started talking guitars and stuff and we got onto the Silhouette Bass and how much is loves it but for some of the stuff it is just too long of a scale length. Dudley has strung up some Bfr's with really cable like strings and it is easier to play but still too stiff.

He was going to work on guages with Dudley and I said that the solution would be to make him a Baritone that was somewhere in the middle of the BFR's scale length and the Sil Bass. Drew is at work already with a 27.5 inch scale guitar for his detuned below d stuff. Dudley and john worked on guages by capoing the sil bass at the 27.5

WE will keep you in the loop on each step with this guitar. It isnt about making a big seller here it is about staying true to our commitment to making tools for our artsts and customers.

You guys are amazing, the way you treat your artists is simply unbealiveble. And also the way you let us see what you guys are up to over here.

Can't wait to see the development of this puppy!

It would be great if you guys can make it in a more affordable, non-BFR version.

If you do, thanks. My wallet isn't going to be very happy.

Wow! That's cool. I've been thinking about a Silo bass simply because of it's uniqueness...a baritone would be a blast!

Congrats guys!

BP posting this sort of information illustrates a little bit of the magic that makes EBMM stand head and shoulders above other manufacturers.

Keeping the knuckleheads in the loop on developments makes us feel close to what is going on in SLO, no matter how far away we are in reality.

I love hearing stories of the development and history behind instruments, and getting info like this while the development is still going on is great.

Should be a real interesting instrument when it's finalised, may start a new trend?

It is truly amazing how you guys keep us posted on all things in development at EBMM. I don't know of any other company that keeps its customers more informed. especially coming from the big cheese.

Bravo Ernie ball.

Poppa, thank you so much for keeping us in the loop! :D

I hope that this instrument comes to full fruition with a BFR model that we crazy diehards can buy too. :D
