Wow! Very cool.
Thanks for the info BP.
I'm assuming the body shape to be that of the JP versus the Silo.

Wicked cool!

Can't wait to see the prototype pics. I'm waiting on a Silo Bass myself. I'm guessing JP will want a rosewood board on his? Maybe I should hold off.........

Neato. :)

Sterling: I know it's WAY too early to say, but do you think it will be stabled tuned down as low as B to B or C to C?

The Silo bass is currently offered tuned E-e in the same octave as a bass, or a 4th up, A-a... The A-a tuning is one step lower than the low B on a 7 string.

Tuning "up" to B or C is the question :D

You guys are amazing, the way you treat your artists is simply unbealiveble. And also the way you let us see what you guys are up to over here.

Can't wait to see the development of this puppy!

Not only the way they treat their artist but the way they treat US. Thank you once again BP for keeping is in the loop. NOW LET US REMEMBER THAT IT IS GOING TO BE AN ARTIST GUITAR!;)

Hmm... I guess that'll be a 6-string, right?

It's amazing to witness the dedication of the SLO people, when it comes to their artists - I absolutely understand why the SLO Connection is a career highlight for John!

You guys really heard it here first! Wow, that sounds like it's going to be a really cool guitar. I might have to buy myself one!

Well, the Silo bass IS cool, but as a guitar it's not what I want. Hence asking about tuning a six-string baritone B to B. ;)

Be a nice rest for my thumb on some songs where I don't need my high E.

Considering it's the same setup as a 7-string, just without the high e (and the JP7 shows it can be done with a 25,5"-scale) I don't think it would be a problem on a baritone
