This was advertised on Wilcutt and well, for absolutely no reason, certainly none arising of need, I had to have it. So I did.

My apartment doesn't get much sunlight, especially not these days, so I apologize for the very crappy pictures...

Transparent blue, and a beaaaaaautiful flame to the neck. Plays great, sounds bright and loud. Exactly what I'd expect.

Plugged in she's REALLY bright, which makes the bridge pickup a little useless on its own. Even position 4 (bridge + middle), my favored position on a Strat, is a little thin sounding. So I'm thinking of swapping the bridge pickup for something higher powered and warmer sounding, but we'll see. Either way a beautiful addition and a great player!

You lucky lucky man
One day I will have an Albert in blue
Have you considered the Johnny Highland six shooter singles sets as a possible option for pickups? After watching his rig rundown on premier guitar I've determined inneed another SSS Albert just to put those pickups in.

Nice girl!

I've tried a bunch of bridge pickups in my AL to get rid of that trebly, thin sound.
(Last one being the Dimarzio injector.)

Best I've found is Seymour Duncan SSL6. It is and remains a true single coil but sounds perfect in every position. Not much of an output increase but it handles gain differently. And no more "pick in the ear".
(This is of course my humble opinion and I'd never pretend to know better than Mr Lee what sounds good in HIS guitar.)

Great news is that it is one of the cheapest one. No excuse for not trying.

PM me if you want more info.

Enjoy your AL.

Thanks man! Ordered an SSL-6 (to keep the staggered poles), we'll see how it turns out :)

Thanks all! She's a great one!
