New addition to the family today, a Bodhi Blue, Roasted Maple neck Luke III HH. Welcome to the fold.

I really didn't set out to collect EBMM guitars, it just kind of happened.

I just got the maple, although I did gig with it the first night I had it; so my impression is very preliminary. Also, bear in mind that my Luke's have totally different pickup configurations.

Having said that, I think the rosewood tends to emphasis the midrange a bit more, while I get more lows and especially highs with the maple. I feel the rosewood has a fatter, warmer tone, and seems a little more resonant, while the maple has much more spankiness. Certainly, both have their merits. The maple feels great, silky smooth, but I prefer the feel of the rosewood. I'm a big fan of rosewood necks, I have two EBMMs and two PRS with all-rosewood necks, so I do admit to a small bias.
