It’s fantastic. The one thing I was worried about was neck dive, and it certainly has it, but only with a slippery strap. Once I added strap locks so I could use my leather straps (with raw backs), no problem. And no dive when sitting. It’s actually a great sitting guitar.

Other observations. The case is huge. Bigger than the EBMM Valentine case. It’s thicker and longer, presumably to accommodate both the trem, and the extra length—it’s a really long guitar. I wonder if it uses an EBMM bass case?

And speaking of size, it’s heavier than I expected. I asked for the lightest available, and it comes in at 3,540g, or 7lb 13oz. That makes it heavier than the Valentine I was testing out for a review! (3,250g)

The neck, as expected, is spectacular, as is the setup. The thing that surprised me is the versatility off the pickup combos. The “all-three” position is my current favorite. It sounds like a beefier Strat. Yet all the positions are quite different from each other. The pickups are also remarkably clear and open. Once I’d upped the treble a little on my Princeton Reverb, the St Vincent goes from thick to bright, but never too dark. They’re also pretty silent. The general sound is something like a clearer, more articulate P90 (comparing to Reverend P90s).

It’s the perfect complement to the Valentine.

The finish, as everyone says, looks better in real life. You don’t see the metallic sheen very well in photos.

Any questions? Happy to answer them.

Might see an odd question, but does it feel long when you are playing it? Is there any sense of it being ungainly when you sit with it

No. The extra length is all in the body behind the bridge, so you don't notice it. My guess is that it needs to be longer to balance it with the neck.

It's actually great to sit with, because you can balance the straight edge on your thigh, letting you move it until it's comfy. The curves on a regular guitar tend to dictate just how you can perch it on a leg.

Thanks man. I've not been able to try one as the stockists are 100s of miles away from me. Thinking about getting one when I've sold my axis but want to do my homework on it.
