Ok, so I was in no need of a new guitar really; I pretty much had all of my bases covered. In fact, I was selling a guitar to fund the Axe FX. So, I stopped by the dreaded Guitar Center to snag a guitar shipping box. Anyway, I decided to give the Music Man JP6 model a shot since I was already there. Man, it totally blew me away! Killer killer action, great tones; just really fun to play. And it was setup really well to boot! But, I don't ever buy new guitars, and I wasn't going to start at Guitar Center. So, I went to some forums, found a few JP6's with the specs I wanted (mystic dream finish, matching headstock), and pulled the trigger. The guitar arrived and I was happy. But, the frets were in obvious need of attention
. This was after I thought I made sure to convey to the buyer that fret health was a big concern of mine.
I really liked the guitar, so I just took it to my fret guy and he gave it a fret dress. 2 Weeks later (he is a busy guy) and I get it back.
Holy moly, is this not a sweet guitar. Stupid low action, great sounding pickups, and the BEST trem I have ever used. I am quite a happy camper
