Been doing some tweaking and the "bonding" is starting to take place. I raised the E,A,D screws a little on the neck pickup and it sounds more balanced with less murkiness. I love these minor adjustments that make a big difference. I do not use a trem at all, but do prefer these bridges to a hardtail. Reason why is I like the action pretty high and with a hardtail I usually run out of saddle screw length. I find that putting a acoustic bridge pin between the sustain block on the spring side, and the larger acoustic end pin between the block and the back of the cavity works nicely in blocking the trem. Also, with a trem there is more options with intonation. Sometimes I may need more length....especially with the low E string. I can either trim the spring on the saddle to allow more room, or angle the whole bridge back slightly to achieve the desired length. I love the simplicity of a hardtail, but for the added flexibility I rather have a floating bridge. So far the guitar is great!
