hi knuckelheads,

just went to my dealer today to ask a few questions about cables and rig-stuff, didn´t expect to get my PDN-Y2D before next week...and while we were talking about other things, someone delivered THE package....

let me tell you, i was very excited while unpacking the big brown box...pulled the case out of it and didn´t want to open it first.
i had mixed feeling like:
"what will it look like?"
"will it be a flametop?" (i´m more a quilttop fan!)
"will the neck have a lot of birdseye or less?"
.....in the end the master question was
"will i like it or not?"

guess what, i opened the case and at this moment, i was one step away of starting to cry....
this baby is soooo nice, i´m more than happy with it!!!
i love it, didn´t expect that it will be such a nice guitar - it´s so awesome!

thanks to BP and the boys at EBMM for making such great instruments!!!!!

here are a few pictures take with my mobilefon before i took it out of the case:

Awesome Joe!!! I was waiting to see a Y2D PDN with a trem. Looks really great. It must sound amazing. Cant wait to see more pics and a full report. And a family of Y2D shot is required! Want to see it next to the tobacco burst especially.

That top sucks .... bad!

It's amazing the quality of quilted maple that EBMM gets and doesn't charge an arm and leg for. I was showing off my Axis tribute on another site and I got the comment "Yup. EB doesn't mess around with their quilts. Should come with a diving board attachment."

thanks guys!
just came back home from rehearsal room...coulnd´t stop playing this beauty. it sounds more aggressive as my other Y2Ds, more top-end and more attack, a bit less bass and a different kind of mid-range - it´s a killer Y2D, and the neck plays so nice, unbelievable, and it´s a light-weight guitar! it´s as light as my hardtail version, which is great for playing a 4 hour show.

one thing i noticed is, that the edge where the binding is sitting, is hard as on the other Y2Ds. it´s more like the edge on the EVH/Axis guitars.
don´t know why, but i would have prefered the rounder Y2D edge on this one as well.
but overall an awesome guitar which is worth every single €/$ - if you have the chance to snag one - just do it!

and here are a few more pictures.
