Just acquired this pre-owned, mint beauty.

This is my first Silhouette. I've owned a couple of Lukes, previously.
As always with Musicman, it is a superb guitar.
The Metallic Sky Blue body, with tort pickguard and rosewood neck, just look stunning.
And I'm loving the DiMarzios.

This guitar is stunning. Sky Blue is SUCH a good color. Rosewood neck = awesome. Brown pickguard isn't my thing but minor. Very good score! Congrats!

Saw that one on Ebay.co.uk a few days ago...thank you for getting that out of my mind! That blue color just works so well with the full rosewood neck!

"Yes sir! Killer looking Silo Special. Congrats.

Love Sky Blue - I have an AL SSS in sky blue"

That sounds really nice.
I've fancied an AL, with 3 MM90s, for ages.

So, what colour pickguard, would you have gone for?

Don't get me wrong -- the guitar is amazing. Brown pickguard looks good but just not a color I prefer. I would probably go for a white pearloid pickguard with white pickups.

Is the colour lighter than it appears on the screen? I had the impression that Sky Blue was more like a Daphne Blue.

I need to add that the colour is beautiful on the screen, btw.

I wouldn't worry about the colour of the pickguard. Not sure how many would say "...that was some great playing. Now if only you had a nicer looking scratch plate."

I would have chosen that combo, before I saw this, in person. Somehow the tort,PG, with sky blue body and black pickups really works. Who'd have thought it
