well the reason was clearly mentioned with the photos so everybody could see, but as I said this sort of thing can happen that's life

Sorry about the situation, Phil. Sometimes UPS bashes your stuff around. Same with Fedex or any shipper...an unfortunate side-effect of their business.

Might I suggest a Stealth JP? It's a diamond in the rough to be sure...and Bass Central has one listed on their site...not sure if it's actually in stock, but it might be worth giving Beaver a call.

I think I'm gonna try a different brand this time around.

if UPS didn't damage people's stuff.

-Phil

ive heard terrible things about UPS, which is saying a lot since i dont even live in america

phil its clear youre hiding alot from us (and for all the right reasons, i totally respect that), but just from reading between the lines here and there it seems as though youre doing a great job of not losing the plot completely and exploding through frustration.

i hope it works out for you in the end

I wouldn't suggest another BFR as you've already had a bunch of them and ended up selling them. Chances are, you'll end up turning another in a few months. I'd recommend waiting for another JPX, or maybe a different EBMM model. Sorry to read the news.

This thread is making me nervous...
I am waiting for a new guitar and it is in UPS hands at the moment.
I am tracking the shipment and it say that my parcel has experienced an "exception".
Did a fork lift rolled over it?
Did the UPS plane crashed?
Crossing my fingers hoping...

Wow this is a strange thread. Really not fair to Pete or EBMM..Look at the speculation.....
was it freight damaged? Was it our fault? He is going to try another brand? Is it a forumite who isnt happy unless he sends his guitar back?

I think Pete has tried to help and know knows why posting issues on a forum first before giving anybody a chance to provide the service that is in place can get frustrating.

Did we make a mistake? If so let us fix it. If we didn't could you please be clear about the guitar?

Thanks!

Long story short: There is a slight twist to the neck in Phil's original JPX. I immediately offered to exchange it for another one that we had ordered for store stock, and take care of RA/warranty on my own. On Friday both Phil's guitar and the replacement JPX arrived, and when I unpacked the replacement JPX on Monday morning I found that it had been damaged by UPS during shipping. I checked the neck on Phil's JPX and there is a very slight twist. I immediately left Phil a message and he called me back an hour or two later. We discussed him picking something else from store stock or taking a refund, and he opted for the refund because right now he is without a guitar. I also got a listing from EB of other dealers with JPX guitars in-stock in his area and passed it along to him.

Sometimes things just don't work out, even when all parties involved try and do the right thing.
