Hey DM ~ do you have a full pic of your Bongo in the avatar...Candy Red, right?

I've got a single-H on order, and would appreciate a shot here.

Thanks!

James, give me a couple of weeks, I will have some pics for you.

I'm kinda glad he's offering the trade.

I mean hey, I'd rather a good bass like that go to a house where it'll be loved.

Hey... I'm starting a 12 step program for bass whores.
Step 1: admit the problem - Hi, I'm Ritch and I'm a bass whore (and d@mn proud of it)
Step 2: Buy a Bongo
Step 3: Put the other bases in the closet - only to see the light of day every so often
Step 4: Buy more Bongos
Step 5: Realize there is no cure and the whole 12 step program is a sham and buy even more Bongos!

Funny, I thought it was:

Step 1: Buy a Bongo
Step 2: Repeat Step 1
Step 3: Repeat Step 2
Step 4: Repeat Step 3
Step 5: Repeat Step 4
Step 6: Repeat Step 5
Step 7: Repeat Step 6
Step 8: Repeat Step 7
Step 9: Repeat Step 8
Step 10: Repeat Step 9
Step 11: Repeat Step 10
Step 12: Repeat Step 11

Meh, its not like he said the SR5 sucks or anything. For all we know he has 10 EBMM's already and while smoking a "doobie" thought that he might enjoy a Ric. I say let him get whats coming to him.

I'll even take the MOTO guard off the fretless and take a pic just for you. :p
The best part about having two basses with the same pickup config is that they can share outfits! Well, maybe not the best reason, but it did venture into the decision making process at some point if I recall.

That was my first thought, he could very easily have multiple Stingrays/Stingray 5s/Sterlings/Bongos, and is just making this decision about one of them.

I mean, really.....how many people do you know that are satisfied with having only one Music Man bass???

He has no shot. The Rics he is asking for go for one and a half times as much as a Ray 5. That's no shot at all on the quality of the Ray, its just market price.

I love the way Rics look and sound, but the ergonomics suck for me.

That's what I was gonna say. The v63s are hard to find and very pricey these days. A friend of mine has one and it's a great looking bass, just not my thing.

I like the way the Ric's look. I think that they are cool. I always wanted a natural with the checkerboard binding when I was a kid but never got around to it. I also will probably pick up on of their guitars in my travels in the future. It is more nostalgia than anything....

I like the way the Ric's look.

+1 They sucker me in all the time on looks alone but I never end up keeping one more than a week after I get one even this rare 4002 I had.

Sure was pretty though!!
