I got a pck from Dunlop today, for testing some new picks, and the new JP jazz III was in it..

I am really impressed. We're all trying to find the best pick for our fingers techniques and size. But with this one, my focus was on the picks polished tip.
I would never guess that a polished tip would have so much impact on my playing.
You can really feel the pick glide more fluently over the strings.
I don't even know how to proper explain it, but dudes and dudettes.. You just have to try them..
Awesome!

Does it have some meat to it? and a good grippy surface? I loved the orignal jazz 3's, but the Eric JOhnsons were a better fit. The polished tip sounds intriguing!

They're still tough to find here. E-Bay seems to be the only source and I currently don't need $20 worth of picks. As soon as I can find some in stores I'm in. I love Jazz IIIs.

I've played with them for a while, and I notice the following:

* They actually feel lighter and firmer than the original jazz III
* The elevated logo grip has more tight grip to it than the jazz III
* The mind works in wonderful ways. When I've played a while with the jazz III into a song pr. say, my mind wants me to make sure the pick is placed properly between my fingers, so I slightly use my fingertip muscles, and move the pick a little. Even this seems easier with the JP one..
* Change from nylon to ultex, feels like a plus

Took me about 5 hours to get used to the new pick..
I like bigger surface, and softer picks for my acoustic, but for electric; this pick is awesome!

Hope they are available soon. I'd buy them on ebay, but I don't really want 36 of them...

So are these new picks the size of Jazz III or more like Jazz III XL ?

I love the XLs but the IIIs are just too small to get any grip...

If you have played the Ultex or Ultex 2.0 Jazz 3, how does it compare?

Well.. The difference is really just the polished tip, and if we're going into all details: the logo gives a different grip..
That's about it...

What the polished tip feels like...? Well, it feels like lesser friction. More smooth.

Any pics of your pick?

I have now a custom pick with our band logo :)

Here's mines.. Do u think this would be a good thread? Show us ur picks? Lol..
Btw, idk if you were talking to me also about the picks but I had to share.. :)
Thank. You and respect to Derek Brooks for the helping me outwits those picks.. When I first signed on with EBMM we worked on those picks for me to use.. Originally Dunlop was gonna do it with me but they took way too long.. EBMM saved the day as always.. :)
Gotta love these guys.. Aloha :)

Those are nice! Wanna trade? Lol.. I got one from the group foreigner just last year.. Ended up the dude the pick belonged to and who's name was on it was the sax player! Hmm? Sax player with his own guitar pick, that's new! Lol
