Agreed.

Great to hear that they've reformed too. They've got a new album out of acoustic versions of their big hits and supposedly an album of new material on the way.

the first time I saw a real EVH MM in the flesh was at a Baby Animals concert. The story was that Ed had given them each a guitar after touring Europe with them. Everyone got one except the drummer... That night I knew that was the guitar for me.

Nuno rocks!

I've been an Extreme fan since "Get the Funk Out" was a college radio hit in my my market. I love his style - the way he delivers such a complete and full guitar part as a single guitarist with no "where's the other guitar" moment, even in a live situation.

I got to see them in '92 or '93 at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan with my wife. Great place to see and hear everything.

The lights dimmed and we heard "Recruit, when I give you the word..."

Wow - they tore it up! :D

I saw them once on that tour and then once on the following tour for "Waiting for the Punchline." Great concerts. Nuno was my favorite back then.

Then, in the vacuum after Extreme kind of faded away, I discovered JP who is now my favorite. He's been my favorite longer than anyone has been my favorite guitar player.

I'm very excited to hear some new Extreme music. What a fantastic band!

There's some NAMM 2008 footage of him (with Extreme) on the tube.

Nuno grew up next town over from where I live(d). I have friends from the area, other musicians that are friends with him and they can't say enough good things about the guy.

Great player too.

Hey Rob ,
Just have to laugh when I saw your comment about it being from the eighties as I guess I must be stuck there ( Musically). It just seems like this generations music (for the Most part) is rehashing old tunes.:D:):)

I agree Most of the stuff my daughter listens to doesn't even have a solo. mabee we are in the calm before the great music returns. Bring back some good rock.

Smart People Movie

Apparently he is also the sole musical composer on this new movie. I have heard good things about the score. He is most definitely one of my favorite players. A musician's musician.
