beej said:Just a thought- the pickups on Steve's #1 are set *much* lower than on his other (and the factory) guitars - Tommy's seen this firsthand. Accordingly, he's going to get a bit of a different sound out of it with less output. I don't actually notice that much of a difference on mine.

Y2D advantages - has the maple top, BINDING, De-Purple Burst
, Looks better with a matching headstock (because the old one has the logo in black), easy switching
Regular advantages - lower price, available in more countries and in greater numbers, more pickups etc.
The price is what's getting me striving for the regular one...I like the Y2D better, though...
