Welcome to Day 4 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!

Thanks for the kind words and comments on yesterday's NYNGD #2020-3!

OK, today we're doing to do two guitars -- a morning edition and an evening edition (because I messed up and the first guitar should have been on 12/18 not 12/19, so we need to make up the error). Two NYNGD for the price of one!

This morning's guitar is short and sweet. A black LIII HH. Another no-frills work machine, she just gets the job done. The V profile on the neck is particularly pronounced on this one -- I have considered taking the orbital sander to it but am afraid to do so on a roasted neck. (You guys know I have done it on a normal maple EBMM Luke).

Otherwise not a ton to say about this guy -- it's just a great guitar that does what it's supposed to and sounds killer! This guitar has seen some recording time since it joined the fleet.

I'll be back this evening with today's bonus NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Day! Thanks for looking everyone!

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. :) The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)

(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)

Super clean. A meat and potato guitar. I have a L2 where the V is much more pronounced than on my L3. I love the V neck.

Beautiful neck & guitar

Black guitars are nice, but you have to play them with gloves, otherwise there are fingerprints everywhere !
You should have spent hours cleaning it before the photoshoot. But the result is perfect !

Texas Finally!
Very nice and what a dark roasted neck, looks super roasty. Not sure ever seen an LIII black with a roasted neck, the original had a rosewood neck, classy!!

Another beauty! That neck color reminds me a lot of the neck on my Bohdi Blue LIII.

Can’t go wrong by adding an LIII to the stable. Nicely done.
