Floyd Rose in the grave? I'm not sure that's accurate. Ibanez alone makes about 50,000 Floyd Rose equipped guitars a year...

Well, a few years ago, the Floyd Rose was not really desirable. But some players like Guthrie Govan and a few years later John Petrucci started to use it again.
By the way, Guthrie Govan was born 27 December 1971, ... so happy birthday Guthrie !
