Oddball AL...???

Did they send you those? Yah it's an Artist piece, I had been at GC years ago and I hmm'ed and hawed over it and it ended up getting sold.

Congrats, what's the plan for it??

The seller is a shop that's got it on consignment. I spoke with them after you did and out of curiosity, he was kind enough to pull the pick guard again and send me gut shots. Very nice fellow. We discussed the details and I tried to negotiate the price, but the owner doesn't want to budge. So it's still available as far as I know.
EBMM CS confirmed it was built for the artist relations department, but no idea who the artist was.
Mrs. Bebop loves a good mystery and went searching the web. The closest thing we found was pics of Annie Clark (St. V) with one of her AL's that looked very similar, but her's has a trem and full rosewood neck, with a painted headstock! Those pics did explain the wear on top of the headstock though... she's got a capo clamped in the same spot. So whoever played this one must have used a capo a lot...

Yah, Tommy was a really stand up guy about getting me the pictures under the pick guard.

Wow yah it's a little to pricey IMO. A good story to go with a guitar is always a must!!!

Someone will pick it up I'm sure at some point.

...if only we knew who the original 'artist' was.....
They must not have kept it long. The only other thing I found was a one-time poster had acquired it and asked about the serial number here back in 2013.
BTW, When and where did you see it at GC??
 
Oh man, no clue, it was a while ago I believe. It was at a local GC near me, almost bought it, but they wanted too much whenever that was.
