This is my first Music Man guitar. When I bought this used Silo Spec, it was really gross...dude didn't even bother to wipe the sweat off before he shipped.

I had to take the whole thing apart and scrub every nook and cranny. So glad I did, too...not only were bridge and under PG caked in crud, but I found a couple bridge screws were loose.

Then, I dropped it off at EBMM for a fret level/crown/setup (even deep cleaned the filthy back of the neck). They did an excellent job and got it all done in one day!!!

First is the seller's pic (only posting it because his camera is better/less contrasty than mine):

Subsequent pics are after I cleaned it and had it setup:

Thanks. Yeah, I'm real picky about body shape, bridge and stuff, which narrowed my choices down to either a Silo Spec or a Morse...and Morses are above my budget and playing level.

To a lesser extent, I'm picky about color. I'd rather not have a standard color (especially black or similarly dark), but still rather conservative...no super sparkle and I really dislike pearloid pickguards. According to the EBMM tech, Medallion Gold is discontinued and, from what I've seen, tortoise shell pickguards are rare.

Took me a long time to find hardtail HSS Silo Spec w/ rosewood board that I liked.

Better pics of my Morse

Hey folks,

Wanted to post a better pic of my guitar. I think this more accurately shows the color.

My new Sterling by Music Man Silo30d

I know it's not a real Music Man. But it's all this poor man can afford for now. I love it!
