Thanks Rob. The Super Sport sounds and feels different to my regular Axis, a little more compressed overall and the extra pickup selections on the SS are most welcome, a very versatile guitar.

A surprisingly nice complement to my Axis, which is more raucious, I thought the SS would sound the same but with more sound options from the 5 way switch, so I got more than I thought I would.

The Black Cherry Burst colour really comes to life with a bright light on it, it's not quite so vibrant in normal lighting, but I do like the classy look of it, especially with the maple neck and cream binding.

+1 with your take on the Axis vs SuperSport.same shape and look but different feel and sound making for a great gigging pair.

I thinks it's a regular top. you have some upgraded top you can recognize by the "custom made" neck plate

No it was just off the wall. It was pot luck really as i didnt get to see the guitar in person but it was the only new PBB I could find in the UK at the time.

Nope, it's not a repaint - that is the stock color. I bought it new. I believe the color is called is pearl green?
