wow, this was some REALLY nice work man, i cant imagine these guitars are the same... how did you get that fretboard back to life?? what do you use for that?
...well, that's the expensive side of the story. Since the previous owner tried to replace the frets himself, completely f*cked that up and even used glue for the frets that later ran down neck and fretboard... *uarghx*
...Mick remove the frets very carefully and sanded and redressed the fretboard and neck. The slots had to be resawn and then he refretted the board using the original fretwire for the SS. Some oil/wax/Wonder Wipes treatments later the condition can be described as "new" :D
Nevertheless - most expensive neck I've owned to the day...

I love what you've done with that thing! Beautiful. Digging the knobs and the Kinman's - what set did you put in?
Happy you dig it Norrin! Yeah, I just could not resist the knobs when Mick showed them to me together with the picks that would become the inlays :D
For the Kinmans - it's the "Traditional MKII Set", the best thing if you want versatility in both vintage and modern tones. Together with this guitar, this is as good as it gets for me :D

Thank you and glad you like it! Yeah, was quite a pita and really much more expensive than expected to get it where it is now, but for me its uniqueness was worth it all. She brightens my days when I'm in a baaaaaaad mood :)

Brent, either that or she's telling you to crank it up. That's a great pick. My soon turning 2-year old loves to come downstairs to see her daddy play his guitars. I think she's gonna take after dad, which is a bit scary.

Is that a Kramer in that picture? I love those guitars. The new EVH Frankensteins are a bit out my ballpark...ouch!!!

she loves to headbang...:p i dont know if that is good?

it is a F****r Frankenstrat replica (made after the new EVH $25K relics)...it is pretty true to the original...it is a fun toy.

i hope to get a guitar in her hands as soon as she is able....grandma and grandpa Henderson have a baby grand piano too, so i see music lessons in her future, i hope!!??

i used to wonder if i was crazy paying $1500 for it, but it is a fun guitar...a nice alterative to the $25k fender. nice to mess around with to give the EBs a breather every once ina while...;)

Crazy yes but given how those things are selling certainly not foolish. What is crazier is that people are out there shelling those types of $$$ for them, and there a replica not a vintage instrument.

true....i was reading elsewhere about the lack of quality control on these 300 limited $25k relics...there have been some issues...doesnt surprise me, it is fender:)

The Black Sparkle Luke

Here she is. I rescued her from the used section of a music store. Almost unplayed!
