Hi there,

I'm the proud owner of a green EVH for 16 years already, still in great shape but I just bought a nice Axis so the EVH can rest a little now! ;)

Pics of these beauties:

I'm new on these boards but I just looked at the pics of all the beautiful guitars that you guys did put in this thread and I said to myself, hey mine will be jealous if I don't put them there! :D

Sweet green EVH!

that looks pretty good!
how's it sound?

It's pretty awesome. The PAF Joe (neck) sounds pretty transparent on this one compared to the other one with piezo (the one with black and cream). It seems to have taking the brighter acoustic resonance from the body itself and translated it into the guitar tone plugged in. The other one seems to have more meat and less transparency, but punchier.

This one is clearer, and more "strat-like". the other one is more LP-ish.

But the FRED... oh man... that's really nice. The piezo one has a Steve's Special in it, and it's like a searing knife on butter. This one on the other hand, is like an operatic screamer. (ok, that's an oxymoron) The FRED is a great combo with the PAF Joe (duh... JS chose this set after all), and both have a nice vowel like sound to the tone. The SS gives me that searing metal tone which I use for some other songs.:D

The Koa Ass looks AMAZING! So does the BFR AL. Great collection you've got there, I'd like to have a collection like that someday.

hi i'm new

I went to the John Petrucci thing last night at GC in New York, and Sterling mentioned the forum, so I thought I'd sign up. I only own one EBMM guitar, but it's a favorite from 1988:

Hey, I'm new to this forum. Just thought I'd post a couple pictures of my musicman Luke, I purchased it not long ago.

I fell in love the colour, had been looking for one since I seen the same version on the los lobotomy's DVD. Does anyone know the correct name for the colour, I have always called it 'wine red'.

Thanks

i'll post better pictures later on

Mine is the Pearl Blue one. Well used and worn in, but in pretty good shape...

Every Luke 1 I see is always in mint condition haha. The blue looks amazing on them.

Here's a thought. Would it ever be possible to have a search kind of thing on this thread. Where you type in a guitar you want to see in a search box or something, and you get results? I'm sure that pretty much everyone gave details on the guitar, so you would probably get results. Just an idea...
