Wow. I don't what it is, but it just flows. The colour isn't over the top. It's subtle, which makes it one of the best I've seen.

Just wanted to share the evolution of my Silo...

From the loaded with EMG's days... from 1995 to about early 2008

To the passive revolution... began early 2008

To the current incarnation which is no longer all black... but still fully capable of all out metal. ( Teh Beerewtaulzzzs for you HarmonyCentral posters )

Someday I'll get tired of this guitar. Then I'll buy another EBMM.

I currently have a ToneZone in the neck and a Evolution in the bridge. Contrary to all other user reviews, the ToneZone I got, used, doesn't have a whole lot of bass. I like it in the neck and aside from it being very low volume when coil-tapped it sounds great. The Evo is hard to beat too. Either one responds dramatically to simple height adjustments but I suspect that's a general passive pickup thing. I've wanted a single for the middle but have no idea which...

Nice tranformation man.. Love that the guitar still looks neat:cool:.. btw.. is that an OFR on the bridge ? I dint know that Silos come with a Floyd..

Not the owner, but Silos did come with Floyds for a while in the 1990s - from sometime say 1991/1992 (it was after the EVHs actually started shipping, but I'm not sure how long the time interval was between the EVH and the Silo getting the Floyd) and the Floyd was replaced by the EBMM Vintage Trem sometime in 1997 (after the Axis Sports came out and debuted the EBMM Trem).

Thanks for the info John:)... i would have thought tht a Floyd would hold tune better than a vintage trem, but then again I havent played any EB with a vintage trem so i cant say.. Just random chatter..
