Nothing yet - will be a Stingray 4 coral red with birds eye maple neck.

The dealer I visited didn't know about these so I didn't get too far with this last week - I will be trying someone else next week.

Seems to be a 20 week delivery - is this standard?

Dude, ur the one with the dream, groupie wife! Make her buy several to prove herself! (Did I just say that?)

Seriously, don't wait 'till you save up; I'm not. :D

First, I would like to say that I am not and have never been a groupie. Them's fightin' words in my house...I've met Mr. Sit's rabid groupies. I appreciate the "dream...wife" reference, though, so I will forgive you for referring to me as a "groupie."

Secondly, he is blaming you for being led astray into wanting to forego saving and be the first to purchase a fretted BIG AL 5 single H. I reminded him that owning the dream bass will be much more satisfying with no guilt and much easier to receive the shipment when we still have a house to live in.

I just bought this to go with my trio of Balls. It sure allows the tone of my basses to shine through!

I also Have one of those Amps, I was very impressed, not as light as my MarkBass, but I have two gigs very close together so I keep this rig set up all the time.

Groupie wife? Prove herself? Mrs.sitonmybass is going to be quite angry with you.

I was thinking all the way back to this...

And I thought my werewolf story was good.

Enough already; I'm starting to get really jealou... I MEAN SICK OF HEARING ABOUT YOUR ROCKSTARDOMSHIP AND GROUPIES AND LIGHTS AND MAGIC AND DREAMY WIVES AND &$%@#!!

My wife and I both loved your werewolf story.
Here's my attempt at a story.
Hope it makes you feel better.

Once upon up a time there was a would-be aspiring bass player who had no musical talent, a totally unmarketable image and absolutely no social skills so he fabricated a make-believe on-line persona which included a fictional band, fictional gigs, fictional web-sites, fictional videos and recordings, fictional fans, and a fictional rockstardomship life including a fictional brand new dreamy wife he met at the ultimate gig. He even hired a male model to be his on-line image and going so far as to pay for rock stars to be flown in to have photos taken with the aforementioned male model. Unfortunately, an on-line chat forum discovered this charade and the perpetraitor was "found out" and he soon retreated back into relative obscurity.
On the positive side, he now makes in excess of six figures as an on-line web designer.

Please, Mrs.somb, don't kill me.

First, please see previous begging for mercy post with corroborating evidence of innocence.

Secondly, I only authorized the purchase of a Classic Collection without saving up first. Mr. is trying to throw me to the werewolves by using the groupie reference as an inflammatory smoke screen so that he can purchase an unauthorized Big AL 5 without saving up first while holding me accountable. I thought ya'll lived in Cinderella's castle and had a vacation home on Pleasure Island.;)

I knew exactly what you were referring to. :D

The Mrs. and I are just having fun with this running joke.

Damn, my smoke/screen purchase plan has been "found-out." You have to admit, it was a good try, though.

Well, we met at Pleasure Island, we do consider our home a castle and we actually do vacation at Disney because we have a time-share there.

Sadly, I'm not currently in a position to order a new Music-Man bass, however if I were in such a position I would get:

- Big Al 5 SSS of unknown color with maple fretboard
- Big AL 4 H of unknown color with maple fretboard

I ordered a Classic Stingray 5 finished in Classic White with Tortoise Shell Pickguard and Rosewood fretboard today. :D

Gonna hold of on ordering a Big Al 5-H until I get the chance to hear one, which probably won't be until the Summer.

DaddyFlip,

Yes, indeed, Mr. Sit's plan has been foiled. Thank you for the update of the unauthorized use of your advice. Mr. Sit is currently making detailed and extravagant plans to assuage my tender sensibilities. ;)

Again this is a guitar, but if the bass offerings are as good, no great, as this baby then start speed dialing you dealer.

GC is getting them in PDQ, the North Dallas GC just got in a shipment of 6 or 7 pieces (basses ), did not get to see them as I was to damn happy with mine plus they were still unboxing them, so if you want one sooner than later contact your favorite GC, or Zombi or my bud Robbie at the North Dallas GC

Has anyone seen a picture of the new Custom Classic, TobaccoBurst, Birdseye maple, 4 string? Please post the picture. That's what I have on order, so I need something to stare at while I wait. :) I've seen the pictures of the SR5 version. Spectacular!
