This is one beautiful ASS. If it had humbuckers and rosewood fb, I'd be running around finding someone to borrow some cash from.

tommy, humbuckers, not P90. I play mostly metal, so I prefer humbucking pickups. However, there is a really nice Axis Sport Stoptail there, with 2 hums. Veeery tempting.
Man you can't play METAL with a stoptail :D

If you say so.... ;-)

Seriously though, I'm a lousy whammy bar user, I've never had one before I got my SUB. Now that I have it, I sometimes also want to bend up, not just down, so maybe one day I'll grow enough to use a fully-floating trem of sorts. But for now, no whammy bar is ok.

A floating trem can be fun, but it's not worth the hassle for me.
Tuning and re-stringing......not fun.

Funny thing all my guitars have them (and I won't buy a guitar without), but I use them sparingly and when I do, it sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher having a coughing fit :D

I play mostly metal as well and i have a Sport with MM90`s........I think they smoke! I mean call me crazy, but these pickups are outstanding for metal in my opinion. I know there are other factors that make up the sound besides the pickups (amp,ect...) but i love the MM90`s! ;)

I regret trading my Axis Sport with the MM90's, I really never tried to work with those pups enough to get the right tone...oh well!

100% agree - I go through phases where I want whammy, and long periods where I can't be bothered with one. restringing my EVH is the least enjoyable part of owning it - the e strings are a complete pain in the ass because of the small stock etc. However, I just don't think I could give whammy up completely - every time I listen to Rush, I want a trem again :)

That's why the vintage trems are the best, it's a trem theat you string like a non-trem :D
