I have no clue what the roving photographer wearing the red table cloth all day may or may not have captured but I grant Sterling full rights to publish any and all images....

Nahhh...just getting warmed up, actually...opener to The Poophead Tour '05...up in the San Jose area with Pete and Karen then off to the City by the Bay...then to Bodega Bay, Santa Rosa capped off by a week in Palm Springs...anyone see that Beck's truck???

Not sure if that was a proto or not, but I hear that it won't see the light of day, as the Buttercream finish is discontinued.

Too bad, too. It was the perfect bass! Played like butter (cream)!

Although you are correct about the Buttercream finish being distcontnued,
I saw quite a few bodies (all models) still in the factory in this color.

I heard that all the rosewood neck basses were protos, and that they most likely wouldn't be put into regular production because of the cost and difficulty finding good rosewood blanks of the size they need.

Coming up my way! Too bad I gotta go back to work tomorrow...plenty of bars around here!

That was the perfect combination of aesthetics, form, function, and tone!

That is a stunning instrument. My goodness...

Now that I've sold my GC Bongo and I have a line on a buyer for my Sadowsky, I'm ready to put a deposit down on a single H Bongo as soon as a limited edition that I like comes around. Any Bongo with a transparent finish, or a mahogany body would certainly make me send Dude money very quickly...

There was indeed a mahogany Bongo in trans red finish...my pics are 2 weeks delayed due to The Poophead Tour of '05....somebody should have pics before I come back off this trip...

Aaaah great, ok why cant-i-be-older-and-have-a-full-paid-job-so-i-can-travel-to-the most-amazing-weekend-of-bassplaying-heaven...

Being older and having full time work doesn't always get you there, I'm afraid.

Yup, I'd have a collection of MMs the size of Dave Jeffrey's if I didn't keep getting stung by trivialities such as shelter, food, council tax, bills...

Responsibility... ugh

The best part of doing what I do is the fact that I get to do what we just did this weekend for "work".

LOL...now I get to go on "vacation". ;)

There would have been a bidding war on this one. I would have been on it like Dude on a Becks. Seriously, I would have paid way too much to have that one - it was purrfect!

That buttercream bongo with the rosewood matches the tort guard.
buttercream was growing on me, but that would do the trick.
