Well done to all graduating its one of those very special days.....

I graduated from Glasgow Uni twice - MA and PhD - and the cool thing for me was the graduation hall is the same as the one many of the writers I studied graduated in to - even back to the middle ages......

Congrats guys....

Hey rob - This is scary. I also graduated from Glasgow Uni twice. Master of Arts and Batchelor of Divinity. As you say, you can't beat the Bute Hall for a graduation.

Hey Hutton - oh yes it is a stunning place to graduate from - and no silly hats either!!:D
I will be back up in Glasgow in September for our Whisky Live festival in George Square - I usually wonder back up to the Scottish Literature department to hang out with my old tutors.....

Whisky Live - now that is worth having a festival about. As I'm a local I must try and get to this intriguing event. Is there a website where I can find out more? I've been round many distilleries in Speyside and further afield. Whisky production is a fascinating subject with the product always being able to hit just the right spot!

Hey well hopefully see you there. drop me a pm near the time and I will give you my number...its a busy time for me at the resident photographer and deputy editor of the mag, but I can usually grab a dram for lunch.

I dont wanna hijack the thread but it is one of those subjects thats incredible. I find it odd that we can send men to the moon but can you really tell me what happens to get the taste of sea water in Islay whisky when there is none present - nope. Mindboogling stuff. Then when you throw in bourbon making as well it all gets really interesting.:)

I'll certainly drop you a pm if my diary is free.

Here's a thought. Resident photographer as well as deputy editor. How many photos do you take after a sampling session? Hope the camera has auto focus!:D

Thumbs up, Randy!

Chuck, I'm still stunned that you've produced such a lovely child.

Your wife must be UNGODLY beautiful to make up for your mutant genes.

As if you and I can talk, Jack. Look at our kids. Praise the Lord for hot looking significant others is all I can say.

Congratulations Randy
I'm glad your kids went. I remember going to each of my parents college graduations (my father delayed finishing school after marriage and then my mom went to school five kids later for a nursing degree).
Just make sure you make it to theirs :)

That's a very good question. She could come to Auburn University down here in Alabama. Excellent school with a beautiful campus. I'd be more than happy to show her around.

Darn my southern gentleman ways. :D
