I appreciate it very much.
Tough times, but we are all trying to stay up, and keep Dads hopes up.
Times like these really do make you realize what matters the most. My folks got divorced when I was two, and Ive had a heck of a step Dad since I was four. My step Dad has been a really positive help to my Dad and Im fortunate for how good their relationship has been. Even though my folks got divorced my Dad has been one of my best freinds, since I was very young, and it only gets stronger as I get older. We are very much alike, frightening as that may be.
Something special about my Dad that will remain in me until I go, is that I had a desire when I was 14 to learn how to play the bass. Nobody took me seriously, and thought it was a phase, but that Christmas Dad took me out and bought me my first bass (a MIM Jazz bass, and 25 watt amp). He planted that seed of music that will be alive in me until I leave this earth, and that means more to me than I can explain.
