I recently purchased an EB Petrucci. This is my first EB MM. I'm still getting used to the neck but so far I am really liking this guitar. The sound is what I am looking for & the build quality is on par w. my PRS.

When I purchased the guitar I got 2 extra trem springs, the trem bar, & a polishing cloth along w. a 1 page EB marketing flyer.

Was there supposed to be a Truss Rod Tool included?

I noticed that the low E string is just barely above or slightly touching the fretboard as it breaks over the nut towards the tuners (see attached).

Is this normal?

Also, should the trem sit parallel to the body or should it be slightly angled back?

Some of the truss rods don't need a specific tool .
These can be adjusted with a small screwdriver , a hex wrench, or a nail.
On the front of the guitar at the base of te neck between the neck and pickgard there is an adjustable end nut of the truss rod.

If the string is not buzzing, no need to adjust it.
if ithe string is touchung a fret then an adjustment is needed,

It is under a warranty , if newly purchased
You can always send it to the factory for adjusting, or if it is not right
like the nut too low

I also own a Petrucci (got two...:) and I looked at your picture and then at both of mine. Mine are the same as the one in the picture and I haven't had any problems. My tremelo sits parallel with the body also. Neither one of mine came with a truss rod tool. Like zabba said, you can adjust it with out the tool. These guitars are really user friendly in playing and maintenance. Hope this helps.

The string angle is normal...and we do not include a truss rod adjusting tool, but you can use almost anything that will fit..allen wrench etc. at the factory, we use a small screw driver with the blade end cut off....works great. The bridge should be level and flat.
