The Red Bear Pick that Lefty is talking about is the Lil' Jazzer Heavy Gauge (with the optional speed bevel, left handed in our case).
.

where do you get these Red Bear? I'm really interested since I use custom made stone picks by Picks & Stones. You're absolutely right about picks being tools, I drop $25 per pick, but it's totally worth it (and yes, I have lost them, quite costly).
The Red Bear sounds good, did you have to order them? I'll have to look out for them at NAMM.

This is from another forum, it's Dave Skowron at Red Bear's response to being asked if JP would be becoming a Red Bear endorsee. JP uses the Big Jazzer.

Well, he bought two dozen of them for his European tour, and has about 35 that we sent him when we thought we were getting an endorsement deal with him. It turns out that there won't be an endorsement deal, but he still buys and uses them. So as far as an "official" word - that's about it. You won't see us advertising on his site, you'll never see him mentioned on our site and we'll never have a mention on his cd liners. But think about it. Even at a price, Red Bears are better than free XXXXX picks! (You fill in the X's)

From the posts here I had to try the V-picks. I ordered the Shredder, a few of the Lites in different sizes, a small Ultra Lite. The Shredder is a little thick, but sounds huge. I'm leaning to the Standard and Small Lites. All V-Picks sound better than the Ultex Jazz IIIs I have been in love with. I'm now sold on V-Picks. Yes, the pick does make a difference. Great tone. YMMV.

Another Red Bear user. I just got the Lil' jazzer heavy tuff-tone and love it. Seems more durable than the standard picks and 10 bucks cheaper.

Good for you! I ordered some V Picks and they were here in 6 days which is pretty good from the USA! I ordered a bunch of different ones but was sold on the Small Pointed, which is similar to the Jazz III.
