Plating on Bridge

Whatever the case my be, I hope you get your Majesty back soon. It really is one of the best guitars (I think it's a tie with my JPXI)

Thanks - I actually went with another Polar Noir. I don't think the gold plating will help (from other comments I've seen elsewhere) and I think there is a tonal difference compared to the Artisan. I'm using a different retailer this time - one that does some QC on the guitars leaving their warehouse. Hoping the 3rd time is a charm. It's due to be delivered Monday - so I will know by then.

As far as the plating issue - I can live with it. I actually wouldn't have minded the guitar just sticking with chrome and forgoing the extra black pearl plating. Was just curious to the commonality of the issue.

Really looking forward to getting the new Majesty!

Plating is a known issue. Mine wore off in three days. Vol pots the same. CS gave me a new bridge plate.

I purchased my Majesty from Guitar Center and on purchase the bridge cover was worn and the bridge plate looked weird at the time of purchase. CS sent me a new bridge cover, I guess I should have requested a new bridge plate too but didn't know if I wanted mess with the piezo hardware to replace it....

After 2 months, my Artisan Majesty's Bridge Plate starts fading.
Contacted EB/MM CS. They told me they will send a replacement cover.
Unfortunately, it's out of stock now, so I have to wait few weeks, but that's ok.
Their CS is the best.:)

Me too. My new Majesty was delivered several months ago with streaks and blotches on the black chrome cover. EB sent me a replacement. By the time it arrived, half of the black chrome coating has rubbed off; just casual, at home playing.
