ihad Ed wipe it as I didnt want Mike to get upset...(he couldnt play the part) Eddie ended up playin the bass on the real track but he did on many of Vh stuff..Mikey doesnt want people to know it but EVH played more bass than you guys know....

I think thats pretty much common knowledge now.

Hey BP, what was EVH like to work with? l've heard that he's like a dr jekyll mr hyde, where one day he'll be the greatest guy, then the next the complete opposite.

as for Luke on vox on VH...man, every day brings even more reason to love Lucious :D

Yeah he did backing vocals on the 2 new songs, Not Enough, some tracks on F.U.C.K./Balance and l'm not sure what else, there was some romours going around that he played some guitar, but those romours don't hold much water.

..and EVh sucked sorry to say

This performance was even reported in some French guitarist magazine at that time...They said that Ed was really not comfortable (nice way of saying :D ) while playing with Albert and Steve.

Anyone have photos of the Ernie Ball booth at the 1991 NAMM show? I would be very grateful if anyone does. Thanks!

Cool pic Brent, so the AL as we know it was called an Axis at one time.
Has anyone seen one of these in the wild?

Quarter, here's a AL/Axis in Yellow that those who went to the Open House got to see in the Room at Music Man.

How about a rough mix of Pleasure Dome with me on the original track playing the bass track.... ihad Ed wipe it as I didnt want Mike to get upset...(he couldnt play the part) Eddie ended up playin the bass on the real track but he did on many of Vh stuff..Mikey doesnt want people to know it but EVH played more bass than you guys know.... Also Luke sang on eight of the Vh records without credit

This is one the great things about this board - BP's recollections and views are a fantastic read!

I'd get the book in a heartbeat!

:D

Thanks for sharing BP.

and EVh sucked sorry to say

When Steve Morse asked about that show he said that
Albert Lee and himself knew the stuff but EVH was totally winging it.
He didn't even know the chord progressions.
Maybe Steve Morse was kind to him, i can't say.
Any way great story Big Poppa.Keep them coming.

Cool stories! Maybe they should have played Crossroads as I've always read that Eddie knows that one note for note.
