Are they worth it? I say yes. I have two with 'em and two without. I use each one for various styles and tunings. My JP-7 has the piezo and I fell in love with it once I heard it. It really has opened up alot of things new to me, which is what this is all about. So, when I ordered up the Rad Red, I had to have it since it was a 6 string. Mind you, I don't neglect any of them. I tend to spend hours playing and have a routine I try to follow which makes me play them all quite often. I go through strings like a mad man.....but, I need the practice believe me. I am not all that good, but I keep pluggin' away at it. Piezo's are great and to me, it was worth the money I spent. Especially with the finger picking stuff, the piezo is the bomb! Even clean pickin', the piezo sounds so nice. Ultimately though, it is your decision. I hope this helps you out, but, it is biased in that I love the piezo, so I can only praise the system!

Very, very nice Koogs! I want to see your collection of Pet's grow until every closet in your house is full of black cases------- like mine! You will know when you are really getting out of hand when you have to put hanging labels on all your cases so you know which guitar is in what case.

I wonder how the Bongo would look sans pickguard?

Might be stunning if it's solid, like the sterling.

I tried playing bass for like 2 minutes once. Strings way to fat and no fun to bend

Nice collection.

...and Koogies closets are currently holding foreign nationals.

Are his guests sporting hang tags so he can tell them apart? That's what I would do, it's only fair.

Koog, impressive set of pics you have. Very impressive. Just like a proud papa should have them laid out. What color is the Bongo? Is that candy red?

Arranged and grouped alphabetically by country, I believe.

hehehehe....you guys are funny.....I keep the cases in the other room with all my other "equipment" that I use for my other "activity" which involves foreign nationals.....though keeping them in the closet gets my wife upset......she hates to clean up after them........plus, they just take up space hanging there..... ;)

The bongo color? Hell, I don't know to be honest. I can't seem to place it on the color chart, but the chart doesn't really represent the colors as well as they do up close. So, here is the serial number to get the color on it if one of our mods could get it for me....

F07973

I have often been told how the Blue Dawn matches the 'Vet. Definitely a great color and the car is super fun to drive especially with Keith and OC and some others blaring on the stereo at full blast! Got my EBMM forum CD mix in the 'Vet and listening to "Sacred Strings" at 120 mph is exhilirating to say the least......just keep an eye out for the police....they may not like that too much....hehehehehe.....

As for the bass, I have been having a wonderful time thumping on it as well as playing the guitar. I have found I am better at bass (strange for me), but still plug away at the guitar. I love to play and really relaxes me from the stresses of my work.

Koog,

Your Bongo looks Candy Red to me. I was just comparing your pics to a pic of my C.R. Pet, the color looks exactly the same. I ain't 100%, it could be Lava Pearl like OC said, but Lava has a bit of orange in it, which I don't see in your Bongo. You should just make up a name for the clolor and pretend it's a custom job.

I got it buddy.....the color is lava pearl...OC with the eagle eye gets the prize.....well, there is no prize, but he gets it anyway. I still like my color name, but, we'll stay with the legit EBMM color selection for now....hehehe...
