Hi,
I have a 1978 Stingray bass. I bought it new and have been playing it for the past 29 years. About 6 months ago the sound started buzzing and futzing out. I took it to a local guitar shop and the tech told me that the board could not be repaired and I should replace it with an EMG preamp and controls. I took his advice and I am not happy with the results. The fat MM sound is not the same with the EMG circuits.
I want to get the original sound back. Does EB make a replacement board?
Any advice?
Thanks,
charlie
