Price Increase?

Yeah, materials are going nuts. I work for an electronics company that makes parts in China, UK and other places. Copper alone has went up like 300% in 3 years. Brass too.

Gas, wood, insurance, etc. Can't not do it. I understand and have no issue with it.

Thanks again BP - I knew it was the right time to buy a new ball, I was delighted when you re-opened the DD window, and I'm MEGA greatful that you didn't rise the prices until Now.

Thank you very much, once again the focus on the customer rather than the profit margin. - you're a rare breed but you get all my business !

Your DD luke will be affected by the price increase, or do i read it wrong? all guitars shipped after Oct 15 will get the increase.

Yep, you read it wrong. Apparently, it bears a second repeating:

We did not raise the prices of the 2006LTD's, Dargie Delights, 20th Anniversary Silhouette, or 30th Anniversary Stingray.

I think 10% is more than bearable BP. Even at that price MM instruments are still the best thing going. Hell, there the best things going at any price! I can't wait to place an order for my SR HS before the end of the year and I'll be happy no matter the cost.

MM quality is second to none and that doesn't come cheap. Ppl pay several thousand $$$ for "Master Built" Fenders because the factory guys couldn't get it right. MMs can hang with Fender's best offerings at a much, much lower price.

Hm, 10%? Well, that just means I'll go in debt a little bit more...oh well. It's worth it. There's really nothing that compares to Music Man quality or sound. I love these things, and for the price they're at, I'd say that's still an amazing value, even with the 10% increase.

One of the reasons I chose Music Man is because it is run by BP, a guy who actually cares about the customer. The second I picked up the first MM I ever played, I knew it was the bass for me, and I'll stick by that, even with the 10%. Even with 20%, if I could manage to save up that much,:D

Wonder how the GC guy's gonna break the news to me... maybe if I act shocked or mad he'll get nervous and drop it down a bit...:D

I know that each dealer is allowed to handle the increase however they would like. Some probably eat it, some probably split it with the customer, and some probably tack it on. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to handle it, it's just difficult no matter what is done ;)

I just want to say (because I live in France, and it's the same in all europe), I hope this price increase will not take effet in europe, especially in France) because a simple Stingray with only one humbucker cost 2200€ approximately 2,762.12 $...
Anyone can give me an answer?

(Sorry for my poor english ^^)
