Nothing like watching your girlfriend scratch her butt and pick boogers at the same time. How romantic.

Thanx. When it's time to move the rig, I wish I had the "cigarrette Package" amp. I still have a few good years left with my back so I can put up with it. Rollers on the bottoms of the cabs make it nice & easy. 2500 watts of clean power. Powerful, thumping clean bass.kilgore777 said:Hey Thumper- saw your gear on the Pics Gallery- very nice!![]()
That amp's gotta kick some serious butt.... makes mine look like one of those "cigarrette package" guitar amps! I'm jealous
Love Eden amps.

I've had that problem for all the basses that I've had. Conclusion? I'm really clumsy. So what I usually do is hold the strings down into the slots on the tuning pegs with my index finger, hold the string with my thumb and middle (kinda like pinching 'em). The thumb and middle finger pull on the strings to keep them straight while I wind 'em up. Once in a while I'll have to stop, loosen a bit, and shift the string around a bit to get each wrap under the previous. Cumbersome? Definitely. But, as I said, I've concluded that my experience stems from my clumsiness.

7 inches of extra string next time i string.
i don't know. i'm used to having to cut less string. i'm just really sad that i had to learn on a 10 dollar string.
I just had that problem last week w/ a set of dr's. It was on the g-string. It's not the guitar. And it may not be the length of the string past the tuner. I change strings twice a week on my sr5 and this has happened to me only twice. I usually have three complete wraps on my posts on my g-a tuners. For my e and b pegs, I usually only have two wraps. I think your problem may be w/ the string. Both times this has happened to me, i've always taken the set back to where i bought them from and they've always been happy to exchange the set for me. I'm not sure really what caused them to slip, but I can certainly understand your frustration. I'm am more than positive that it is not the guitar.mike jungle said:i'm not blaming eb...i usually cut my strings about my thumb's length past the string post and i've found it to be enough.
maybe longer than that is needed?
i cut it the same amount for each string and it all worked so i found it weird that it didn't work for that one.
