Ugh...

I don't know what to say, my feelings are 50:50!

Looks great, but it really should have balls to do such a paint work on such a special and expensive bass!

SLO, when will we see some purple added to available colors?

In the meantime, if PW was able to preserve the logo in refinishing the headstock, I'd seriously consider getting a refinish on my 30th SR4 in the same trans purple.

That's why I want to see the headsock. Pretty sure he couldn't save the logo.

What could be done to attempt saving the logo? Mask it off during the definishing process? Tracing and recreating the logo with a silkscreen? I don't know much about refinishes, but I sure like the results on this one!

Their are logos floating around out there. Not sure if you can get an orginial replacement from EBMM though. Not to mention the one on the backside.

Yes. I'm curious about the headstock too!

Until I see it I'm still thinking it's nice photoshop work :)

Just curious because I'm going to refinish my SR5 as well. (when I have the money that is)
It's a burn victim and needs some new skin. And yes, it's a matching headstock. Going to be a pain to get the headstock right with the decals. :-(

Has anybody ever called EBMM to see if they'll sell a replacement decal or perhaps sell / apply a decal to an inspected / bonifide refinned EBMM neck? It's a reasonable request. If they won't I know there's aftermarket waterslides out there. The real deal would be better though.

Well, considering that they don't use decals, it'd be pretty difficult for them to send one to anyone. They silkscreen the logos on the instruments.
