I'm looking into purchasing my first EBMM Axis. I have a questions. Do Axis guitars made in January 2019 come with the stainless steel frets? I've heard yes and no. Can anyone confirm? I checked the serial number data base and it was built Jan 16th, 2019.

It depends on the model, there were several "special edition" runs that had SS Frets. Do you have a photo of your Axis? SS Frets and roasted maple necks became a standard option in 2020. Yukatan Blue and Roasted Amber Burst were the first 2 colors of "standard" Axis to offer SS frets.

That guitar is a standard "Natural" finished Axis and has a non-roasted figured maple neck so I am going to say that guitar has nickel frets. To be honest, I prefer this model and the nickel frets... but to each, their own. This is a great guitar as is and the price seems fair. You won't be disappointed with this guitar if you pull the trigger.

Get the serial number, SN database may tell you, definitely does not help that the seller has so few pics
I got the serial number & looked it up, but it didn't say anything about the frets. Just when it was made and the top.

I liked the price, but I was kind of hoping for the roasted neck and stainless steel frets.

Yeah, I'm with Keith here. He's never sold anything on reverb and if someone wants 2 grand for anything I need more photos. But also if you want roasted/stainless you'll not be 100% happy and might always second-guess that guitar. Better to wait.
