Question about tremelo on my JP12

Alright, so this guitar was my first time messing with non fixed bridges on guitars. The first time I changed the strings on it, I didn't block the bridge, and obviously screwed up the whole thing. I had no idea how to set it back up correctly, so I took it to a local music shop, and the guy set it up for me. In doing that, he also did something to the actual tremelo. I did'nt realize it before, but it was extremely hard to press down. After he worked on it, I could push it down and up with very little effort. Now I know how to set them up, and I have changed the strings and ect, and actually set up the bridge even better than he did. But now, the tremelo arm is really hard to press down again. What can I do to fix that? Thanks for you guys' potential help.
 
Sorry, I was trying best how to explain what I was talking about. It has always had 3 springs in it, before and after the guy worked on it. Should I try removing one? Though since it was working smooth before with 3, I know there has to be a reason for my problem.
 
Make sure the term knife edges are positioned correctly on the posts.
