Question re: that rosewood 20th. What kind of rosewood did you guys use for the body and neck? Just curious.

robelinda2 said:so how does one go about getting new chrome knobs? i would love these on a rosewood axis, but i cant really afford the piezo which comes with chrome knobs, is it just a simple matter of going out and buying chrome knobs from a guitar store?
Is it the split collapsing when tightening the set screw that makes is wobble?jongitarz said:The chrome knobs should be used with solid shaft pots.
jongitarz said:You can line up the set screw on a knob intended for a solid shaft with the split in the split shaft pot(does that make sense?) but it will never work right. I have heard of people using anything from a pick to wood to fill in the shaft, but I really doubt it will work right. If you want that type of knob, change the pot.![]()
