I was thinking that, but I thought Rivera and immediately thought Slipknot, and thats a turn off haha. They had something Rivera at GC, I'm not sure if it was bass or not, but it wasn't plugged in, so I didn't bother.

They also had a nice H&K, but it looked like someone spilled something biological on it :[

I know about the Slipknot thing, but I got to play the Rivera flagship model, the K-Tre, for a good 2 and a half hours yesterday, and when I plugged in into a T75 cab, it sound a bit to mushy for me, a bit too Slipknot.

but then when I plugged it thru a V30 cab... Pure bliss. Unbelivebley verstile tone, and showed the guitar off very nicely, I got a really good JP tone with my JP, and a very good Loomis tone with my $hecter Loomis. I really liked it. Now I'm just waiting on a KR-100 that's supposed to arrive here soon and if I like it, I just might buy that monster.

The cabs were Avater cabs.

The KR-100 is the Rivera model I'm after, and perhaps the one you're after too.

3 channels, a seperate foot-switchable gain boost for each channel, effects loop, your choice of 6l6's or el34's.

Check it out in the Kncuklehead Series (How fitting is this? :D), there's also a video in there, it's under KR-7.

Oh yeah, the video for the KR-7 is actually Mick Thopmson's signature amp, but the KR-100 has the same features, just a bit less scooped midrange.

Yea I saw Mick Thompson's signature Ibanez.... yuck. I can't believe I used to like that band haha

Those features sound reallly appealing, I might have to head back up to GC and try out that Rivera.

I've heard alot of good things about Bogner, but as with everything that good, music stores don't keep them on hand because theres not much commission to be made, so I can't try it out. If I can get my paws on one, then we'll see how much I like it.

Now I need to look into a Road King, a Rivera, an H&K and a Bogner. Thanks to everyone for the directions.

I haven't heard much about them, other than them being really heavy [and not the way I'm looking unfortunately haha]. I don't know of any dealers around here, but I'll add it to the list and give it a shot if I can find one. What do you like about them?

They sound amazing. They are not widespread. Every show I got to I see guitarists plugged into Marshalls or Mesas. It gives you a sense of uniqueness. Also the tone to me is to die for.

Can you post a clip?
One of the dealers nearby carry them, but I've never had the chance to try one.
I've heard mixed reviews about them.

I've owned 2 Dual Rec's, one was a rare blacface 2 ch, a Mesa Quad, two Mark IV's.

I now own a Mesa Mark III Coliseum. It's a IIC+ with an extra set of balls. It is so tight smooth and just huge sounding. Try to find one used, they are the best sounding Mesa amps you can buy, in my opinion of course.

Foggy, you don't have the "change" or "chance" to try one?

:D

Yes, I'm all about balls.

If anyone has any clips of anything, please post.
All I have is the PODxt LIVE simulation of it :(

Jeffrey has an Mk IIC+, hopefully he'll chime in.
I've requested some clips from him though, but it's only just his "practice amp"
