In another 17 years that '99 model will be "vintage". Are you going to off it before then so you don't get lumbered with an old piece of crap?

I was referring to the hype everyone makes about the vintage instruments today. EBMM is making basses better today than they ever have. Why would I want to buy a bass that's got 30 years of someone else's mojo on it?

Will I play my SR5s when they become vintage? Yes. They weren't vintage when I bought them were they? :p

Thanks Mark.

Ask those upright players who have a one of a kind, 160 yearold standup, if they like playing rare basses live. ;)

We can send robots to mars, so I don't worry about fret wear or belt rash.

I don't own any EB basses, but I bought my Dargie LUKE & JP to gig and beat the snot and I use my Blue Dawn JP to record with, it is in mint shape and is priceless to me as it is my first EB. The 20th Silo gets played hard, along with the y2d. Fretwear on everything! :D

I play my Ltd Ed Envy Green sex change Bongo 5 HH Jade more than the DG one, and I'm not overly concerned about collectability. I mean, I take good care of my instruments, but Ltd Ed or not does not matter to me.
