I saw that there was a discussion thread recently on recording hardware, but I am interested in finding out what others might be using as far as recording software. I'm going to be in the market for something to run on a Windows based laptop from home.
I'm probably going to be going the PodXT (Bean, Pro, Live???? not sure yet) route and was looking for software to record through that to. I know that Line6 is coming out with some software (Rifftracker) but don't know that it will be as full featured as some of the other products out there.
I've done some research but would like to hear some real life stories from folks on the forum if possible. I've looked at Cubase and Magix Sequoia and always see ads for GuitarTracks Pro and have heard about ProTools. A friend offered me a hacked version of Cubase, but I have a problem doing that. I'd rather pay for something that I'm going to use on a regular basis. Is there anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks for any input...
