WOW.
Just WOW.
My cover band needed to record some new and recent demos for our promo pack and we laid down a bunch of tracks Tuesday.
This bass is decieving. In a music store or in the basement this bass sounds good. In the mix it is amazing. I thought my SR5 and Sadowskys would be better to record with but the 30th blew me away. I recorded direct with no amp or effects (I use a MXR Auto-Q for the funky tunes only).
We recorded Foo Fighters, Led Zep, Lenny Kravitz, Sublime, Queen, RHCP, Tragically Hip and even the Romantics and ALL tunes sound great. The articulation on the high end is much better than I expected. Better than my 2007 LE SR and also better than my SR5. All basses are single H.
I put away the Sadowskys for now and will be gigging the 30th and my SR5 tonight.
It is nice to finally own a bass that I can honestly say that I will never sell. First time I have ever said this. My other 10 basses (including the 2007 LE and SR5) are not 100% safe, but the 30th? It will not be going anywhere.
