I can’t believe this but I think it’s a step in the right direction. There is a bass on eBay that before I discovered EBMM basses I would have bid five grand just for starters. In fact I got to the confirm bid page with 5000.00 in the box, and then I thought “what the hell are you doing!”
I’ve got a Bongo on order, a killer SR5 that blows away everything I already own, why blow money on an old bass, vintage though it may be, that will just hang on the wall. That same chunk of change would go a long way on new EBMM basses, who knows I may want a Bongo 5 or one of the new two pickup models.
I never thought I’d see the day that I would let a 1968 “mint” lefty J-bass pass by, but I’m not even going to look at eBay for the next 11 hours.
