I am a proud owner of a 2014 Reflex 5, in the single humbucker configuration, with the stunning tangerine pearl color.

I absolutely love it and I even plan on eventually getting a 4 string with the HS configuration(should have ordered the 5 in such fashion as well).

But why don't I see many people playing these fine basses and/or talking about them?

Im just a little curious.. am I missing anything?

I am just not digging the look of the Reflex, the tone is every bit as awesome as the other EBMM basses. I also like that they feel smaller and more agile than a Stingray for example, they feel very good and are a joy to play. So for me, only the looks drive me more to the Bongo or Ray.

YOU aren't missing anything. The bass playing community in general is, however. I've been playing my Reflex 5er almost exclusively lately and there is nothing it can't do (short of household chores).

I think they aren't very well known in general. Which makes us, the Reflex players, even cooler.

Similar with the 6-string guitar (I have a gold-top hardtail) - definitely a secret agent guitar. I think, because Reflex was used as the platform for GameChanger, it's never really pushed as a model in itself - pity because it's my go-to guitar for live and recording. If the bass is in the same ballpark, I'd take the exclusivity and run!

When I bought my Reflex I was new to MM and didn't realize that was what I was buying.
Not only was I pleasantly surprised but the Reflex is the best sounding bass that I own

They are great basses, I just could never embrace the look. But you never know, the Bongo grew on me. :D

My Reflex was my go to bass until I got my fretless Bongo.
I've developed some kind of internal problem with the fretless and until I have time to get it fixed I'll be using my Reflex on Sundays.
Yesterday I kept saying "You can't go wrong with the Reflex".

Ordered mine in 2010, very early on in the life of the model. I adore it, and I haven't bought another bass since. I have HH 5string. I've thought about it lots, I think two reasons that might have limited it's popularity is the initially intimidating electronics package, and limited colours.

Yep, agreed! Have you tested the new cobalt flats on it?

I've used Cobalts on mine since they came out. They definitely make a big difference on the smoothness of the tone from string to string and the low B rocks

Awesome. I have been playing the same 5 string for 5 years and am keen to add a 4 banger - a Reflex 4 HSS is top of the list. Preferably a PDN model.

What!!! you SOLD it? WHY? I loved that bass. I was very envious.

I sold it because it's damn bloody recession over here at the South-East Europe and my Government is f*ck!ng me with high taxes, fuel prices, low salary ...etc.
I'm band-less and gig-less at the moment, so I'm waiting for some better times with my Bongo, which will be just fine for all my needs.
