I've used Cobalts on mine since they came out. They definitely make a big difference on the smoothness of the tone from string to string and the low B rocks

Not yet but I plan to. Right now I have the preproduction Cobalt flats on a Stingray and a Bongo fretted and fretless. Gotta wait like everyone else .

Hah! I overlooked the "flats" part of the question.
I have the regular Cobalts on my Reflex but I have a set of Cobalt Flats on order for my fretless Bongo.

I haven't had a chance of using the cobalt flats yet.. it takes a little while for things to get here... but I bet they're awesome... I have some cobalt rounds on my pbass and they sound great!

I will definitely going to be trying them as soon as I can get me a pack!

I sold it because it's damn bloody recession over here at the South-East Europe and my Government is f*ck!ng me with high taxes, fuel prices, low salary ...etc.
I'm band-less and gig-less at the moment, so I'm waiting for some better times with my Bongo, which will be just fine for all my needs.

Sorry to hear bro, that bass was AWESOME.

I do like the balance of my Big Al better than the Reflex, not to mention the weight savings

I think they may all have a bit of neck dive, no upper horn will do that. I did like it but it was pretty warm overall & not as snarly as a Sterling which i missed

Oh man...I'm so sorry. I went through the same thing back in 2009. I had 10 balls at the time, and had to sell them all off. I did eventually get a used SR5 which is my go to bass. I now only have 2 basses.
