Question Regarding classic Stingray 5 PU covers

I'm looking to swap my pick guard, and I'm thinking of replacing the white PU cover with a black one.

The one I have is rounded on the edges, which I don't like. I prefer the regular Ray covers. Does anyone offer what I'm looking for?

Stingray 5 pickups have the covers glued to them so they are not interchangeable. Also rounded and old style covers are not the same size.

I have addressed the same question to customer service a while ago. They said they are glued on but can be replaced (at your own risk). They gave me an item number and in theory it would have been possible to order those caps via a Music Man dealer. What I did not ... ;-)

I don't think I'll chance it. It's not that big of a deal, I really love the bass. Just tinkering with a new look.

I swapped the cover on my old SR5 with no issues. It was minimally attached using a few dabs of silicone around the edges IIRC.
