Reverse bow on my JPM

Has anyone experienced a problem on the neck of their JPM where the bow actually curves "up" towards the strings?

I have talked to some local repair shops and even Ernie Ball customer service and the best solution I was given was to actually have the fret board removed so that the repairs could be made?

2 days ago l got my JPM service, and my tech said that my nech (on the guitar duh!!!) what bending slightly back, but was easily fix. But l think your situation is different.

Like l said, wait for Jon, and see what he ways.

I'm also a Peavey Wolfgang owner. After tons of gigs over the last 6 years with the Wolfie I've never had a problem with it.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the guitar but wait for Jon (aka jongitarz), he'll let you know what you can do, he works for ernie balls repair department.

Did you buy it brand new? if so, it should be covered under warranty.

ok i'll bite......is yer truss rod completely loose ????
did you buy it new ?
a new truss rod would have to be a biflexing rod to fix an up bowing neck........extremely expensive an tricky job.....not too many places i would trust for that.....
i think ebmm will sell you a new neck....in exchange for your damaged one if your out of warranty.

Yes the repair is very tricky and let's face it...dangerous. I really don't want to do it. Here's some answers to your questions.

Yes the repair is very tricky and let's face it...dangerous. I really don't want to do it. Here's some answers to your questions.

Who did you talk to at EB/MM? If the neck is bad we will replace it. Call customer service. 1 866 823-2255

No I dialed the right number. 1-800-543-2255. I even saved the emails.

I did however speak to Dan at the number Jon posted. They are having me send back the guitar for them to look at and see what needs to be done. I was told it is still under warranty as well.

Just a couple of comments ...

The first thing that should have been done (as it states in the warranty information) was to call Ernie Ball Music Man. Nobody else knows out guitars like we do. Going to a local repair shop, or to a Guitar Center, or asking the bum on the street for advice will only further confuse the issue.

I don't believe it is fair to judge a company's customer service when you have never given them a chance to resolve your problem.

There is no way we at EB/MM would have ever told anyone "sorry you're out of luck" - Perhaps someone has us confused with another outfit?

I personally handle most of the customer service situations that come in, and those words do not exist in our vocabulary.

Fret boards cannot be "removed" without ruining the neck. The glue we use to hold the fretboard to the rest of the neck is about 3 times stronger than the wood we use. That should have been a sign that maybe this was bad advice.

Our customer service is first-rate because we make it a priority. All we ask is that we be given a chance. We can't fix a problem that we are not aware of.
